Candy Shaw and the Sunlights Artisan Team took the best lift in the industry to Stockholm, Sweden for the very first time this past weekend at Highlights Hair Fashion Experience 2019! There, they taught back-to-back Hands-On classes along with a packed Look + Learn - all sold out!
Fueled by mineral water, Candy and the team prepped for a big day of teaching with only FOUR hours to set up (versus the typical 1-2 full days vendors get tradeshows). It didn't make a difference to the Sunlights team, though - the feat was pulled off flawlessly! The Balay Lama taught hundreds of eager Europeans balayage, even enjoying a game of "Match the Celebrity" on the Main Stage (though since they were mostly American celebrities, she may have had a bit of an unfair advantage). It's always exciting to spread the Balayage Revolution to new frontiers, and this time was no different. The team's infectious excitement even convinced their hotel receptionist to step out of his own box and come visit America for the first time! Candy and the team will be back in Sweden in 2020, but in the mean time, take a class from one of our talented Swedish Artisan Educators! Sunlights is available throughout Sweden through Baldacci Hair Care.

The Blunt Bob with Candy Shaw: Sharing Your Knowledge
1. Join Something Special & Considerate I have over 100 educators globally who have come through this program, and they don't just love teaching balayage and hand painting. They love being a part of something special. Something bright, cheerful, loving, giving, considerate - all those things we sometimes forget to prioritize are the backbone that keeps you moving forward. If you focus on those qualities when choosing a company to work with, the dynamic between you and your employer will be beneficial to your career. In this episode of Tips & Tricks Tuesday, Candy uses this technique at the bowl for ease of painting and using the Balay Wrap! Bowlayage can be tricky to master – but watch Candy show you how easy it can be with the right steps!
